Art and animals have been Suzanne’s passion since her childhood in a small mining community in Northwestern Ontario. A lifelong northerner, Suzanne now lives in Copper Cliff where she continues of follow her passions.

She creates her artwork in both paint medium and papier mâché sculpture.

Suzanne is particularly interested in exploring the relationship between man and animals, both wild and domestic. Previous projects include relationships between man and bears (at dumpsites) and man and geese (in public spaces). In 2008 Suzanne was awarded an Ontario Arts Council Northern Arts Grant for ‘The Bear Project’, a painted exploration of the nuisance black bear situation in the North.

Suzanne’s December 2018 exhibition ‘Man’s Best Friend’ (Artists on Elgin, 168 Elgin Street, Sudbury, Ontario) is the result of a long-time interest and study of dogs and their ever-changing relationship to man.
