Biography

Suzanne McCrae has been drawing and painting animals since her childhood in Manitouwadge, a small mining community in Northwestern Ontario. She went on to study at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto where she specialized in colour and design.

After over ten years of abstract painting, Suzanne returned to her original love of animals and nature and they are now the focus of her work. Her strong sense of colour combined with her abilit to convey the distinctive personality of each animal make her portraits compellingly lifelike.

Suzanne has participated in solo and group exhibitions. She accepts commissions and her work is in many private collections in Northern Ontario, as well as in Toronto, Montreal, British Columbia, and as far abroad as England.

Suzanne now lives in the town of Copper Cliff near Sudbury, Ontario.
